Erik Johansson likes to classify himself as an “experimental photographer”. One look at his works is all it takes to understand his reasons.
Digitally manipulating the pictures he takes, the Swedish artist creates quite surreal situations, built to simulate the most perfect reality. Although his works usually take from 20 to 30 hours to complete, Johansson affirms that never using stock images is still his biggest challenge.
